February 11, 2026 is International Day of Women and Girls in Science! This day was established in 2016 by the United Nations General Assembly to recognize the essential role women and girls play in science and technology. This day is an opportunity to promote full and equal access to, and participation in, science for women and girls. (Source)
Today we recognize the importance of creating equal opportunities for women and girls to learn, lead, and thrive in science, technology, engineering, and math. This day is a reminder that representation, mentorship, and equal access to opportunities remain just as important today as they were for those who laid the groundwork before us.
At WiSER, we believe that progress happens when we intentionally create space, amplify voices, and support one another. When women rise together, the impact extends far beyond the lab, the classroom, or the workplace.
