The Annual Industry Mixer was held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024!
This was our second in-person event since 2019, with over 100 individuals in attendance with about 24 company booths. In addition to free food and beverages, attendees were offered professional headshots by SUB Photo and rapid resume reviews by the University of Alberta Career Centre. We also had an inspiring keynote address by Sheetal Mehta Walsh, who currently serves as the CEO of the University of Alberta Innovation Fund. The event lasted for about 2 hours, with an introduction from WiSER and WiSEST, the keynote address and a networking period for attendees to visit company booths, get their headshots taken and have their resumes and CVs reviewed by the Career Centre.
