The UA-WISE & WISER Mentorship Program 2024/2025 is now open to Experienced Mentor (> 5 years experience) applicants from June 23 to August 18, 2024. Please visit the program’s event page here for information on how to apply.
Our mentorship program consists of a unique trio format and runs from October 2024 to April 2025. This structure allows graduate students or early-career professionals gain experience mentoring an undergraduate student under the supervision of an experienced mentor. A total commitment of minimum 6 hours over the duration of the program is required, as well as attendance at 3 events. A certificate will be issued upon completion.
Events:
- October 24, 2024, 18:00-20:00 MST – Introduction event (Online)
- January 23, 2025, 18:00-20:00 MST – Professional development event, topic TBA (In Person)
- March 27, 2025, 18:00- 20:00 MST – Professional development closing event, topic TBA (In Person)
Optional Online Workshops:
- November 21, 2024, 19:00-20:00 MST – Resume Writing
- February 27, 2025, 19:00- 20:00 MST – Interview Skills
Note: Individuals living outside of Edmonton are welcome to apply; however, they will need to make up for hours missed from the in-person events by increasing their independent trio meeting hours
